The design aims to organically integrate the Water Tower complex into a new context of public space, paths, topography, and the functions of the to be built Vydrica neighbourhood. Our design creates harmony between the unique cultural heritage, central location, and natural features to support their synergies, thus multiplying the potential and uniqueness of the site.
The key propositions of our design are the creation of the place, the unambiguously defined complex of the historical Water Tower in the new neighbourhood and restoring its identity and repute in the form of a vertical landmark – a high-rise building. The legibility and unambiguity, coupled with the uniformity of materials, create a new autonomous layer added to the locality in one go.
The area of the archaeological site with the new architecture and public spaces is completed and surrounded by mature green plants – the park, slope, and foreground.
