This is what summer looks like in Vydrica

Summer is in full swing in Vydrica. This summer, the urban neighbourhood beneath Bratislava Castle has brought markets, wine, film, and beauty events to the city. On Floriánska Street, you can enjoy a holiday atmosphere without ever leaving the centre of Bratislava.

Take a look at everything we’ve experienced in Vydrica so far.

Vydrica Market

Summer kicked off with Vydrica Market, which we organised in collaboration with Dobrý trh. Visitors could look forward to more than 30 local brands, great food, Pilates, workshops, DJ sets, and guided tours of the neighbourhood. One of the tours was led by architect Juraj Benetin from Compass Atelier, who introduced visitors to the architecture and story behind this modern urban neighbourhood.

The summer Market may be over, but there’s more to come. Vydrica Market will return this autumn. But more on that later. 😊

Wine Route in Vydrica

The next summer event was the Wine Route in Vydrica. Fourteen Slovak winemakers took part, offering tastings, conversations with winemakers, and special wine offers at Vydrica’s restaurants and venues.

Summer Cinema: Bojovník

A week before its official premiere, we had the chance to see the new Czech-Slovak film Bojovník at Kempelen Park. The screening was also attended by the film’s leading actors and creators. For one evening, Vydrica belonged to film, popcorn, and summer cinema.

Beauty & Wellbeing Weekend

The beginning of August was all about beauty and wellbeing in Vydrica. During Beauty & Wellbeing Weekend, we joined forces with DNA Beauty and Dreame Slovakia to create a programme full of beauty innovations, self-care, live music, and inspiring discussions. Visitors could try out services at DNA Beauty salon, discover the latest products from Dreame, and enjoy a relaxing time in Vydrica.

Together, these events reflect what Vydrica is all about: more than just a place to live, it is a vibrant urban neighbourhood where people, gastronomy, culture, and high-quality services come together. The professional community has taken notice, too. This is also why Phase I of Vydrica was nominated for the CE ZA AR 2026 Architecture Award in the Residential Buildings category. So keep your fingers crossed for us — we hope to take home the award.

We’re already looking forward to everything we’ll experience together next.
